Photovoltaic Solar Electricity
This process involves capturing sunlight (photons) in silicon cells to produce electricity for general use in companies and homes. It is a very economical, advanced, and widespread alternative throughout the world. After being used for nearly fifty years in space stations, Brazil is now consolidating its commercial use.
The sun releases an amount of energy on planet Earth every year that is thousands of times greater than all the energy that humans consume. Taking advantage of this energy not only generates significant economic benefits but also promotes environmental preservation and respect for future generations. It is a 100% clean and inexhaustible source of energy.
THE PHOTOVOLTAIC KIT
A photovoltaic cell is a silicon plate the size of the palm of your hand which, when exposed to light, allows this material´s electrons to move, thus producing direct electric current. The photovoltaic module (panel/plate) is a group of various cells on a single plate.
They are installed in sunny areas, preferably on roofs or on the ground, as long as the area is free from shadows. Installation is straightforward. Screws secure them to small brackets within their own structure. Then, connectors and wires will conduct the energy to the inverter (converter), a device that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC), the conventional type of electricity, high or low voltage.
This set (Kit) of equipment makes up the Photovoltaic Generator.
When the system is in operation, it meets the immediate demand for consumption, and any surplus produced is fed into the public electricity grid, where it is completely accounted for as credits in electrical charge to be spent in the absence of solar power. During the night, the public grid typically supplies energy as usual.
This constant flow of energy (generation and consumption) is recorded by the Bidirectional Meter, a device that replaces the traditional meter (Light Meter). It’s possible to monitor generation and consumption via digital apps in real-time. (You can find more information under Distributed Generation)
The equipment has a long lifespan. The panels operate with productive efficiency of over 85% for 30 years and are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty for 15 years. The Converter has a 7-year factory warranty.
This is a high-value engineering product.
The equipment requires minimum maintenance, limited to cleaning the surface of the panels to remove dust with a damp cloth a few times a year, even because rain does so as well.
The manufacturer’s mobile app allows you to monitor your electricity generation and consumption in real time at any time. The Converter itself sends the information via the internet, and allows you to consult credits accumulated every month.
