Investing in a photovoltaic solar system guarantees long-term benefits, as its lifespan exceeds 25 years and can reach over 30 years. Brazil is increasingly recognizing its potential for solar energy generation, and installation costs are no longer such a significant barrier for those wishing to adopt this sustainable alternative.
The best payment method, which maximizes return on investment (ROI) and minimizes the payback period, is cash purchase or interest-free installments directly with the installing company. However, this option is not always accessible to everyone. Therefore, we present nine financing lines for the installation of photovoltaic energy generation systems in Brazil.
BNDES
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) finances up to 80% of project costs for large-scale solar energy projects. The annual interest rate is 7.5%, and the investor must cover at least 20% of the costs. Additionally, there is the possibility of issuing debentures, of which BNDES may acquire up to 50%.
BANCO DO BRASIL
Banco do Brasil offers two financing modalities for solar energy. The Proger Urbano Empresarial is intended for the modernization and expansion of companies, utilizing resources from the Worker Protection Fund (FAT). Interest rates depend on the client's relationship with the bank, and payments can be made over up to 72 months, with a financing limit of R$ 1 million, covering up to 80% of the project.
Another option is the FCO Empresarial, which serves legal entities in the productive sector and public companies that do not depend on government financial transfers. Additionally, rural producers and cooperatives can also join this credit line, available for the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and the Federal District.
BRADESCO
The Bradesco offers a special credit line for the installation of solar energy systems. The financing line is accessible to both individuals and legal entities, with terms varying according to the client's credit analysis. Interest rates are competitive, with installment options up to 60 months. Additionally, Bradesco offers differentiated conditions for existing account holders, with the possibility of financing up to 100% of the project value. To simulate the credit line or obtain more information, simply access the bank's website or visit a nearby branch.

The various financing lines for solar energy in Brazil facilitate access to photovoltaic technology, allowing companies, farmers, and individuals to adopt this sustainable solution. When evaluating available options, it is essential to consider interest rates, payment terms, and specific requirements of each financial institution. In this way, it becomes possible to invest in clean energy with efficient and sustainable financial planning.
